I put together a brief video this evening on forward finishing rolls to help show the motion the roller’s body goes through during the many different Greenland style forward finishing rolls.
With practice, you can teach yourself to relax. Only by relaxing will you be able to float and then engage your body appropriately. It is exactly the same for lay back rolls. I don’t know about you, but initially I found it much easier to relax when lying back looking up rather than being face down in the water, but keep trying, with time you will find you can relax, then you will reap the rewards when rolling.
