This weekend I spent a few hours in the pool, initially teaching rolling, then I jumped into my kayak and practiced a few rolls. During filming of a reverse sweep the wooden Greenland paddle I was using gave way (not an unusual or unique event). This provoked me to revisit a few rescues as it had been a while since I had practiced them. Seal rescue, Bow rescue, Reentry and roll, and then a few rolls with the remains of the paddle.
Snap crackle and practice
