I am a firm believer that every paddler should try to learn to roll. My second belief is that everyone’s second roll should be a reentry and roll. It has to be one of the best self rescues out there. Possibly the fastest way to get out of the (cold) water (bar rolling). Reentry and roll with a paddle is great. The paddle can be used to brace the kayak once you right it. Being full of water the kayak can be quite tippy. Here I am fooling around at a pool session proving that reentry and roll is quite possible with a norsaq.
