Petty O’Neal and I met at Thomas beach on the south end of Lake Calhoun at 6am this morning and paddled the 6 miles of the chain of four lakes through the bridges, the air temperature was very pleasant in the low 70s and the water temperature according to Peggy’s thermometer was hovering close to 70F.
The weed in Cedar lake was particularly bad, and when we rolled in Calhoun we saw a lot of weed getting close to the surface. My hand roll was successful today, but I did not feel inspired enough to try the reverse sweep with norsaq again, I will take my time this weekend aat Spring Lake.
