Traditional Kayak and paddle replicas

I was reading Ron Olson’s blog today and came across a link to Harvey Golden’s web site on replica kayaks and paddles, it is the first site I have found that provides a mechanism to contrast the various design styles from the different regions both of Greenland as well as Canada and Alasksa.

There is a similarly fascinating page showing the history of paddle design, which leads me to think that my Bettsie Bay Geenlander is a replica of a West Greenland paddle from the 17th century
